About Capt. Brian

Captain Brian Sandage was raised in the Texas hill country and frew up fishing the local lakes for crappie, largemouth bass and catfish and hunting South Texas for whitetail deer, turkey and wild hogs.

Right out of high school, Brian went to Lincoln Tech to study automotive repair. When college was over he was offered a job in New Mexico as a hunting guide. Brian spent a year chasing wild animals all over the state of New Mexico. As things happen in life, he went back to Texas and managed a automotive shop for 7 years. That job came to a end and he got into the trucking industry where he worked until the economy crash in 2009. In 2011 he moved to the Ozark mountains in Arkansas and started his own guide business on the White River for fresh water trout and bowfishing the local lakes.

In 2017, Brian was offered a opportunity to become a boat captain in Alaska, guiding for salmon in the summer months. At the end of Alaska’s 2018 season, he was offered a position running a bay boat in the Florida Keys. He is now permanently employed on the Florida Keys year round except June, July, August and September when he is guiding in Alaska.
